Dear PEAKers,
We are so proud of all TEN of you who participated in the
30-hour famine!! Wow, you were awesome! Now we are in the process of getting
all of the money counted, so we can figure out how many chil-dren will be able
to eat for a year because of your fundraising efforts! Yeah! (If you still have
any cash or checks, be sure to get them to Cheryl ASAP!)
As we look ahead to March,
we have a very fun event to
attend in San Jose – the Rock and Worship Road show! Read this newsletter for
all of the details. It will be a great event – lots of amazing bands will be
there!
Also, this month is really
important as we get set for the
big auction fundraiser on April 14th! We need for EVERYONE to help out, as we
raise money to get our group to Atlanta. So please put these dates on your
calendars in red.
We were saddened by our
youth leader’s sudden departure, but
Nick just had too many things going on his life to continue working here with
PEAK. So keep him and his family in your prayers as he finishes up his master’s
degree at the seminary and gets set to go in the middle of May for a 14-week
training program with the National Guard as chaplain.
We mentors are really blessed
to get to spend time with each
one of you, and we are looking forward to some really great PEAK events in the
coming months. You are an awesome group, and we look for-ward to lots of fun
and meaningful discussions. Don’t miss any of our meetings together!
